Why Pittsburgh calls Elite Concrete Floors

One trade, and one kind of floor done properly

Plenty of flooring contractors will sell you carpet, tile and hardwood and treat concrete as an afterthought. We go the other way. Concrete is the whole business and has been since January 2004, so the grinder, the crack filler, the stain, the flake and the topcoat are things Rick and his crew handle every week rather than once a season.

A finish is only ever as good as the concrete it grips, which is why the International Concrete Repair Institute publishes surface profile standards for exactly this work, and why we grind to meet them before anything goes down.

A new profile, honestly

What we handle

Concrete Floor Services in Wexford

Epoxy Flooring

Epoxy is a two part resin that bonds down into open concrete instead of sitting on the surface like paint. Once it cures you have a seamless, hard floor with no grout lines and nowhere for oil, salt or dust to hide. Metallic and flake finishes are both built on it. See how we approach epoxy flooring.

Garage Flooring Installation

The garage is the job we do more than any other. Five months of road salt, meltwater and grit land on that one slab every year, and a decorative flake system takes all of it while hiding the marks bare concrete shows off. Most garages are finished in two days. Here is our garage flooring installation.

Floor Polishing

Polishing does not add a floor, it finds the one you already own. The slab is ground through finer and finer diamonds until the concrete itself shines, then hardened and sealed. Nothing sits on top, so there is nothing to peel or strip. Read about floor polishing.

Basement Flooring Solutions

Almost every house around Pittsburgh has a basement, and in most of them the floor is why nobody goes down there. Ground, stained, polished or coated concrete turns it into a finished room without the damp problems carpet brings below grade. See basement flooring solutions.

Residential Flooring Installation

Kitchens, sunrooms, laundry rooms, utility spaces and covered patios all sit on concrete, so all of them can be finished the same way. One sealed surface, no grout lines, nothing to lift and nothing to replace in ten years. Read more about residential flooring installation.

Commercial Flooring Installation

Warehouses, shop floors, corridors and back of house areas need a floor that survives daily traffic and daily cleaning. Polished slabs take hard wheeled traffic, resin builds take chemicals and impact, and the work is scheduled around your hours. See our commercial flooring installation.

Straight answers about your concrete floor questions

What makes you a flooring contractor rather than a concrete contractor?

We work on the surface. Grinding, polishing, staining, coating, resurfacing and sealing are all finishes applied to concrete that is already in place. Pouring slabs, driveways and footings is a different trade and we do not do it.

Do you work on homes or businesses?

Both, and industrial buildings too. Since 2004 that has meant garages, basements and kitchens on one hand and warehouses, corridors and shop floors on the other. The prep is identical either way.

How long have you been doing this?

Elite Concrete Floors started in January 2004, so 22 years of concrete floors around Pittsburgh. Rick Chase has run it the whole time and still does every estimate himself.

Are you licensed?

Elite Concrete Floors holds Pennsylvania contractor registration PA108735 on the Attorney General list of registered contractors, and has been a BBB Accredited Business with an A plus rating since October 2025.
