Why Choose Elite Concrete Floors

Twenty two years on western Pennsylvania concrete

Elite Concrete Floors opened in January 2004 and has been finishing floors around Pittsburgh ever since. That is 22 years of basements, garages, kitchens, warehouses and shop floors in a climate that is hard on concrete: salt on the roads five months a year, freeze and thaw all winter, and a lot of housing stock old enough to have seen several owners try something on the slab already. There is not much a floor around here can do that Rick has not met before. Have a look at the work.

The man who quotes your floor is the man who runs the job

Rick Chase owns Elite Concrete Floors and does every estimate himself. No sales rep, no call center, nobody handing your measurements to a stranger. He runs the crew as well, so the person who looked at your slab is the person who decides how it gets ground, patched and finished once the work starts. That is the whole point of a small outfit, and it is why nothing gets lost between the conversation on the driveway and the finished floor. See everything we do.

The prep is the job. Everything else is the easy part

Floors almost never fail because of the product. They fail because somebody rolled it over a dirty, sealed or untouched slab. So the concrete gets diamond ground back to open pores, the cracks and pinholes get filled, and a basement slab gets checked for moisture before a drop of anything comes out of a bucket. It is the slow, dusty, unglamorous half of the job, and it is the half that decides whether the floor is still stuck down in ten years. It is why our epoxy floors stay put.

Accredited, registered, and easy to check

Elite Concrete Floors has been a BBB Accredited Business since October 2025 and holds an A plus rating, and the company is on the Pennsylvania Attorney General list of registered contractors under PA108735. Neither of those is a logo we printed for ourselves: both are public records you can look up before you let anybody into your house. In a trade with a lot of trucks and not much paperwork, that is worth two minutes of your time, whoever you end up hiring.

Sometimes the honest answer is no

A finish is a surface. It cannot hold together a slab that is heaving, sinking or breaking up through its full depth, and anybody who tells you different is selling you a floor that will fail. If that is what Rick finds, he says so and you keep your money. We do not pour concrete and we do not repair it, so we have no reason to talk you into a job the slab cannot carry. Either way you get a straight answer and a free estimate first.
